Leeds United Newsflash: Dennis Wise Leaves Leeds

Leeds United

Not sure how I feel about this one. I still believe that with the time and players he had last season it was a disgrace that we went down, but on the other hand he deserves credit for galvanising the squad after the 15 point deduction and pushing us to the verge of promotion.

As Leeds united fans I think it would be naive to think that Dennis wise would show any loyalty to our great club. This is just one more twist in the roller coaster that is Leeds United. Think we'd be used to it by now wouldn't you!

As an eternal optimist, here's my prediction. New manager comes in, Leeds secure back to back promotions and our first game back in the premier league is Newcastle at home. Bring it on!

Just not happening at the moment. Great set of results last night, chance to go second and then the very thing we were doing to teams on a regular basis in the first half of the season happens to us. Gutted!

Still at least playing Luton gives me the chance to take the piss out of infamous curb crawler David Pleat. Remember his camp running and skipping pitch celebration back in 1983? Bad enough on its own, but to do it in a shit beige suit!

Luton's life saved by a Yugoslav! Yugoslavia doesn't exist anymore a bit like Pleat's career in football management.

Incredible support, awful result. It's on days like this you know who your friends are. You don't really feel like laughing when you lose at home to Doncaster, so I'd Just like to say cheers to my old mate Martin Gilliard who left sunny Kippax for Canada (as you do!). Martin e-mailed me this ace picture through shortly after the game had finished. Just brilliant!

Keeping the classic 80's theme going, it's time for the Leeds United distractor video.

One of my first ambitions in life was to be in the Rock Steady Crew. Living in Leeds and only being able to do a forward roll meant that this ambition was never likely to be realised. Still, we can all dream, can't we?

Apologies to anybody under 35. This was the dogs bollocks back in the 80's. Honest! P.S Did anybody used to sing Hey You The Service Crew!

Leeds United Blog: Calm Down Calm Down Kung Fu Special

Leeds United

I thought pantomime season was over until I read about Jamie (calm down, calm down) Carragher trying to get to eight Luton Town fans sporting bushy blacks wigs, fake moustaches and bright tracksuits. It made me think of Eric Cantona's infamous Kung Fu kick back in 1995.

Worst Kung Fu Auditions Ever

This is one of my all time YouTube video favourites. I've been looking for an excuse to show it on the Leeds United blog. Enjoy.

Respect Due

Just a quick post to say respect due to Northampton fan Danny Brothers. Danny lives in Southampton and made the long trip up to Elland Road by train, got the football special to the ground with the Leeds fans, had a pint, watched the match, made the long trip back to Southampton and still had a time to write a match review for his Northampton Town football blog.

You can read Danny's match review by Clicking Here

Hat's off to a true football fan. Good luck to you and your team for the rest of the season Danny.
